Are NurseStrong compression socks good? Here's what nurses are saying.
Thinking about trying NurseStrong? Read the reviews, see what nurses love about them, and what's good to know before you order.
THE SHORT ANSWER
Yes, for most nurses on long shifts.
The reviews keep coming back to the same things: they're soft, they stay comfortable through a full 12-hour shift, and they feel better than other compression socks nurses have tried. The one thing to get right is your size. Measure the widest part of your calf, and size up if you're between sizes.
What nurses love most
How their legs feel after a shift

"I honestly didn’t expect to love these compression socks as much as I do! I’m so glad that I gave them a try. I work long shifts, 12 hours, and sometimes even 16, and my legs definitely feel the difference when I wear these. The compression is just perfect, not constantly sliding down. It just feels like the support is exactly where it’s supposed to be. Even after being on my feet for hours, my legs feel supported instead of completely exhausted..."

Better than others they've tried
"I’ve been a nurse for 11 years, and I have tried (and failed) my share of compression socks! The second I tried on my Nurse Strong socks, I knew they were different than all of the brands I have bought in the past."
- Elizabeth W.
Verified Buyer
"I've worn many, many brands of compression socks over my 25-year nursing career, and these are awesome! They are very soft, easier than most to put on, and they never move or slip down on my legs. I love the motivation quotes on the toes. The compression is great and they really help me with working 12-hour shifts."
- Dorothy S.

"I soooo love these so much!!! I have tried sooo many different compression socks, and these are the perfect ones! So comfortable, don’t leave marks on your legs, don’t make you itchy, and I can wear them for 12 hrs!"
20-30 mmHg, firmest at the ankle and easing up the leg, to help promote better circulation through long hours on your feet.
Soft, comfy and supportive
The words nurses use most in the reviews. The extra-cushioned soles are a favorite, too.
No embroidered designs
No busy patterns with loose threads that dig and itch. Just the cutest colors that go well with scrubs.
Affirmations on toes
Each pair has little messages on the toes, like "I GOT THIS!" Small, but nurses say it helps a lot before a tough shift.
"I was that nurse who thought I didn't need compression socks. Then I switched to day shift, and my legs would be aching by 2 PM. I tried so many compression sock brands, but they were either too loose to support my legs for 12 hours or full of embroidered designs that just left deep, itchy marks on my skin. That's why we decided to make compression socks that are intentionally made for long shifts."
Some reviewers say the socks feel tighter than they expected. Most of the time, it's because they picked a size that's too small. To avoid this:
Measure the widest part of your calf
Match it to the size chart
Between sizes? size up
A cushioned, thicker feel
Most reviewers love the cushioned sole and the thicker material. If you prefer a thinner sock, these may not be your favorite.
What if they're not right for me?
Start with the size chart so you get the best fit. If something's still not right, reach out within 60 days, and we'll help with an exchange or refund.
As seen on nurses
A good fit if you
Work 12-hour shifts, or any job where you're on your feet all day
Want firm graduated compression
Like a soft, cushioned sock
Like solid colors that go with scrubs, with no busy patterns
Probably not for you if you
Want light compression
Prefer a thin sock
Have a medical condition that requires prescribed compression. Talk to your provider first.
THE VERDICT
So, are NurseStrong socks good?
Yes, if you work long shifts.
Most customers love the firm 20-30 mmHg graduated compression in a soft, cushioned sock. Just measure your calf first, and size up if you're between sizes.

Love them! My feet were comfortable after a long shift! Cute colors!
I get why the positive reviews about these compression socks now! Totally made so much difference at work and whatever claims they made were absolutely true, doesn’t itch and are very comfortable. Plus the cutest color and the material is thick and durable that for sure will last. Will totally recommend it to everyone I know! It really helps a lot as well during colder season in terms of keeping your legs warm. Truly is a good investment especially for us nurses or any other profession that are mostly on their feet during work.
I got so excited to hear about this and so my friend and I tried one pair each-i loved it, but I guess my choise of size was wrong so I had to return the other two, they sent me back 2 new pairs with extra two as the first returns were wrong colors. Definitely an investvest for nurses!
me and my husband are both nurses. as a Operating Room Nurse and Dialysis Nurse which needs alot of standing and walking during the shift. we needed a compression socks that can withstand and able to give comprehensive support on our legs! we used other brand and after shift it gives itchy feeling on the skin. happy to discover and order with Nurse Strong! no after itch using compression socks! very supportive and offers quality socks! colors are also fun! really like the inspring words written too! we recommended this to our workmates and they also order some and love it!
Although I am not an RN yet, I tried NurseStrong compression socks and even gifted some.
It changed my shift entirely. The snug support stopped my feet from aching, cut down swelling, and felt soft enough to wear comfortably for thirteen straight hours.
Thanks, NurseStrong!
I love this compression socks. It helps me lessen my leg and foot fatigue. I'm using it for two weeks. And will be monitoring it's quality for a month.
Although I’m a nurse, I rarely would wear compression stockings. However, this summer I broke my foot which set off multiple DVT’s and PEs. I had so many (11 of them) that it permanently damaged the valves in my leg and my walking was set back months due to swelling. Once my DVTs cleared a few weeks ago, my MD recommended stockings. These are the ones I bought. They are phenomenal! They are soft, but strong. Easy to get on and off but most importantly when I wear them, I have no swelling in my leg and that has allowed me to start walking with PT. I hope to ditch this scooter in the next few weeks! Highly recommend!
These are the real deal. They stay up, provide true medical grade compression, and aren’t itchy. I have varicose veins so I have to wear these while working and every other day and I definitely prefer these to my Amazon ones. I mean don’t get me wrong they are still compression socks that I want to take off at the end of the day but they are the best ones of ever had by far. I was skeptical that these would be any different but they’ve definitely won me over.
Love these nurse strong compression socks! 🩵 They’re comfortable, stretchy, and stay in place without feeling too tight & itchy. I wear them during my long shifts and my legs feel much better at the end of the day. Plus, the colors are so cute! 💙🧦 I got the pink & blue. Hoping for a purple, mint green & yellow soon.. 💪 Nurse strong rocks!
I love my compression socks! 💕 They feel so soft and comfortable while still providing the perfect amount of compression for my legs. Even after a 12-hour clinical shift and being on my feet for most of the day, my legs don’t feel tired or achy. Please release more colors—I’d definitely get more! 🥰🧦
I honestly didn’t expect to love these compression socks as much as I do! ❤️
I’m so glad that I gave them a try. I work long shifts, 12 hours, and sometimes even 16, and my legs definitely feel the difference when I wear these. The compression is just perfect, not constantly sliding down. It just feels like the support is exactly where it’s supposed to be. Even after being on my feet for hours, my legs feel supported instead of completely exhausted. I’ve tried compression socks from different brands before, but these honestly surprised me. They’re comfortable enough that I can wear them for an entire shift without constantly thinking about taking them off, which, for me, says a lot! 😂 I’d definitely recommend giving these a try! And honestly, I 've got 7 pairs now. 💙
I don’t understand how a pair of compression socks can take away all of the aches, swelling, and discomfort that I will feel in my calf. I’m standing all day, but somehow someway your socks does and it’s one of the best investments I’ve made I love and appreciate the work that you’ve put into making these socks.

Oh Marcia! So kind for you to say this. This means SO much to us. 🥹 You, other nurses and everyone who wears our socks always inspires us! Thanks again for sharing this. 😊
These compression socks are definitely high quality ones that you can feel instantly. I didn't know compression socks could feel so comfortable and by the end of my 12 hour shift, I didn't feel like my toes were being pulled back like they do with general compressions socks (that tightness on my toes drove me crazy). Love that these are created BY nurses, FOR nurses. I have no regrets on investing a little bit more for my feet/circulation health because it is more than worth it! Great product for anyone who is on their feet all day or has circulation issues.
So comfy, i like the heel part extra cushion. After 10 -12 hrs shift standing feel my legs are less hurt. The size was just right. I love the colors too with small note on the toes to stay positive at work.
On my 1st day of work, I was not able to wear any compression socks then my calves were hurting and I did not like how I felt. On the 2nd day, I finally wore my first pair of NurseStrong but only shows one leg on the picture because I already took off the left side and have to raise it for I was enjoying how good it felt compared to the day prior. It really did its performance. My legs felt like brand new because the pain was gone just by wearing it on an 8 hour shift. Thank you to the makers of this. I say: Infinity stars for NurseStrong Performance Compression socks!
There was like less fabric around the left foot around the toes it was see through and on top of the foot. The other sock wasn’t like that. Sucks cause I liked the blue pair and I did feel a difference these pink one idk my feet still hurt after my 12 hour shift and I am on my feet all day. They didn’t help at all.
Store owner replied:
Hi Adraiana, we're so sorry to hear this. It sounds like the left sock may have had a defect, as both socks should have the same fabric and feel. We'd love to make this right. Please email us at support@nursestrong.co with your order number and a few photos, and our team will be happy to take a closer look.
Love these socks!! They have the perfect amount of compression.
I’m a nursing student still getting used to being on my feet all day while caring for others. I love these! They help a lot with swelling and my feel just feel more supported than with just regular socks.
This is the best compression socks for my feet and legs. Unlike other compression socks that I have tried, it doesn’t feel itchy at all. They are so comfortable and it really helps my legs after long hours of shifts. Grateful that I have found this socks. 😊
At first, I thought that compression socks are just hype until I tried and discovered NurseStrong socks. 12 hour hospital shifts are more tolerable and no more leg pain once I get home. On top of that, NurseStrong is way affordable than other brands in the market. It is truly a product made for Nurses❤️
I have alot of compression socks but I can really say with this one. I can really feel the compression and I love the fact that it doesn’t leave marks on the skin like what I used to have.
I have been waiting for the opportunity to write you guys back!… I was so surprised to have received 5 extra socks and a personal letter to me. that is very thoughtful of you to do. I have given dose sock to a few of my coworkers hoping they would fall in love with the socks as well. I will continue buying from your company. Thank you so much Lei!!!!
The socks were great! I'm glad that they were able to fit for small feet/leg for me, they perform really well as well! I don't get itchy at all, and my feet are barely sore after a long shift! Definitely recommended them to my co-workers! The one thing I will say, is that they leave imprints. After taking them off, they leave behind the band at the top and the Knitted pattern.
After 4 days of 10hrs shift,it was amazing that my legs are still okay that they are not that so tired compared to not wearing compression socks. It made me want to purchase another pair🩷
I have only started wearing a pair recently so far the compression is helping me with long standing .
I encouraged my husband to get them as well , just a bit dissappointed that they don’t come in black or other neutral colors.
Over all I think they will help me a lot with my varicose veins.
Before using i can have some leg pain due to standing for hours throughout my kitchen shift. When i started using it I experience comfort and no pain at all. Still new so will be observing it.

I soooo Love these so much!!!
I have tried sooo many different compression socks and these are the perfect ones!
So comfortable, don’t leave marks on your legs, don’t make you itchy an I can wear them for 12 hrs!
Other compression socks can be too loose, itchy, or uncomfortable during long shifts. NurseStrong Compression Socks are made for nurses who need support they can actually wear all day.
60-DAY
COMFORT Guarantee
Try them on your shifts. If they don’t feel supportive, comfortable, or right for you, we’ll help with an exchange or refund within 60 days.
If you’re on your feet for long shifts, wearing compression socks is a smart and simple way to support and protect your legs from the strain of standing all day.
They help support circulation, reduce that heavy, swollen feeling, and help you feel better during your shift and less drained after work. They may also help lower the risk of vein issues like varicose veins.
How do NurseStrong Compression Socks work?
During long shifts, gravity pulls blood and fluid down into your lower legs, which can make your legs feel heavy, swollen, and tired.
Compression socks gently apply graduated pressure to the legs and support the calf (including the soleus muscle, often called part of the body’s “second heart”) to help push blood flow upward back to the heart.
That’s how compression socks can help reduce swelling, ease leg fatigue, and keep your legs feeling fresher during long shifts.
Are they comfortable for 12-hour shifts?
Yes. NurseStrong Compression Socks are made to feel supportive without the itchy, scratchy, digging feeling nurses hate.
They’re soft, cushioned, moisture-wicking, and designed for all-day comfort.
Why invest in quality compression socks?
Your legs carry you through every shift. They deserve real support.
Cheap compression socks may save a few dollars, but if they’re uncomfortable, lose support quickly, or leave your legs feeling heavy after work, they’re not really saving you much.
Quality compression socks are a small investment in comfort you can feel shift after shift.
Are they hard to put on?
They’re snug because they’re real compression socks, but they’re easier to put on than people initially think.
If you're new to compression socks, here’s a very easy way to put them on:
How do I choose the right size?
Measure the widest part of your calf and compare it to our size chart.
If you’re between sizes, we usually recommend choosing the larger size for comfort.
If your socks don’t fit as expected, please reach out to us. We’re here to help you with an easy exchange process.
What if they don’t fit or don’t feel right?
No worries. If they don’t feel supportive, comfortable, or right for you, we’ll help with an exchange or refund within 60 days.
Where do you ship from, and how fast will my order arrive?
We ship from Houston, Texas.
Most orders arrive within 3–5 business days after shipping.
Are they only for nurses?
NurseStrong Compression Socks are designed for nurses, but they can also help anyone who spends long hours on their feet.
They’re a great option for healthcare professionals, teachers, retail workers, travelers, or anyone who wants extra leg support during long days.
